One of the things I’m most proud of our region about, although there’s a lot more hype than reality on Pittsburgh going green. At least we talk a good game I guess.

On Tuesday, Allegheny County Chief Executive Dan Onorato announced a new project to conserve energy and eliminate wasteful practices in operations and programs.
As part of ‘Allegheny Green,’ a group of experts and stakeholders will be formed to help the county meet its green goals.
The initiative will be funded by government grants and private foundations.
