There’s no word yet on what this actually means. Are they stopping ads, fundraising, turning off the lights at campaign HQ? Or, are they using this as some free publicity and a way to kick the ball down the road? Remember that kid who always called “Time Out!” whenever he was just about to get tackled?

The McCain camp has just sent word that the senator is suspending his campaign and returning to Washington to deal with the financial crisis.
McCain is also calling for a postponement of Friday night’s debate and for Obama to suspend his campaign as well.
